AFTER USABILITY TEST

Theme

1: Through observations, I noticed that all the users were confused about where to find the cart button on the app.

2: Due to fast transitions and no reassurance most users were confused and unsure if their item was ever added to the cart when ordering.

3: I noticed unsatisfied looks when users were testing out the app and came across the menu page, asking for their feedback they replied with “It just looks thrown together lacking cohesion” and “It looks off and doesn’t feel right”

4: All the users in the usability test concluded that they found the layout of the app very user-friendly.

Insight

1: After the usability test I acknowledged the feedback from the users about the location of the cart and created a design that followed the convention of placing the cart button at the bottom corner of the app ensuring a familiar and intuitive experience for the user.

2: Following accessibility guidelines regarding transitions, I designed a confirmation page that would transition in upon adding an item to the cart in order to satisfy user preferences, but that also makes the app feel more rewarding by providing a sense of achievement using the new designed page as a task-completion page.

3: I took note of the user’s feedback regarding the menu page and recognized the need for significant improvements to enhance its visual appeal. Through careful consideration, I redesigned the menu page, implementing a harmonious color scheme, clear visual hierarchy, and intuitive layout. These changes were aimed at creating a more aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly menu page.

4: Recognizing the importance of maintaining consistency and familiarity, I worked diligently to preserve the core look and feel of the initial design in the final iterations. I achieved this by carefully refining and enhancing the user-friendly elements while keeping the overall aesthetic intact.
